although the story's been good the progress has been quite slow. throughout the entire series nie lie has only absorbed 2 of i think the 7 he can and its starting to focus less on cultivation and more on conspiracies and drama.

True, but it is going very accurately according to the novel. However, the entire Glory City arc is only the beginning of the novel. We are 5 seasons in and I can't see them reaching the next story arc, (where they leave the city) any time soon.

I dont think we'll see that until either the last episode as a cliff hanger or next season as we've only got 5 more episodes till this season is over.
